The farmhouse aesthetic works because it doesn't ask the room to conform to a single decade. Baltic birch, natural or walnut-stained, ages well, goes with painted cabinets and open shelving alike, and don't clash with the mix of old and new that most kitchens actually have. Our signs are laser-cut from void-free Baltic birch, never MDF and never a printed wood-look film, so the grain is real and the edges are clean.
The mountain name sign is the piece most people start with for a kitchen wall. A family name framed by peak silhouettes reads as landscape and as statement at the same time. Walnut-stained it's dark and dramatic. Left natural it's lighter, better for kitchens with white or cream cabinets. Both versions are exactly the same cut. The wood is what changes the mood.
The zodiac wall art works for kitchens that want something a little more personal than a family name. Layered wood geometry with a constellation that actually belongs to someone in the house. It's a conversation piece without being obvious about it. In a farmhouse kitchen with open shelving it reads as a collected object rather than a decoration.
Care differs a little between the two pieces, which is worth knowing before you decide where each one hangs. The mountain name sign has a natural matte oil finish that's food-safe and wipes clean with a dry cloth. If the sheen dulls after a few years on the wall, a light coat of mineral oil brings the color back. The zodiac wall art is different: its layered look comes from hand-painted faces stacked over a Baltic birch base, so it does better away from the stove and the sink than directly above them. Neither piece needs sealing or refinishing on a schedule, just occasional dry dusting, and a mineral-oil touch-up on the mountain sign only if the finish fades.
