Our laser engraves or cuts it into the wood, and we sand and finish the piece by hand. For the wedding seating chart, you give the headline and the names at each table. For the baby name signs, it's the child's name, and the safari sign takes a middle or last name on a second line. Each product page shows the fields that piece takes.

Yes. After you personalize your order, you'll see a digital preview before you approve it. This is your chance to check the spelling and the layout. We wait for your approval before we cut anything.

Reach out right away, before we start cutting. If we haven't begun work yet, we can update your personalization at no extra cost. Once cutting has started, changes become complicated.

We work with clean, readable lettering that holds up at various sizes. We can't replicate someone's exact handwriting, but we can help you find a style that feels personal and right for your piece. Email us photos or descriptions of what you're imagining.

Every personalized order gets a free digital proof within 24 hours, and we start cutting once you approve it. A piece with nothing to personalize, like the bear couple figurine, goes into production within 24 hours of payment. From there, it depends on the piece: most name signs leave the studio in 3 to 5 business days. Wall art and the event games take a little longer, 5 to 7 business days, and a custom seating chart takes 7 to 10. Every product page lists its own window, so check the one you're looking at. Once it ships, the carrier usually takes 3 to 5 business days depending on where you are, and you'll get a tracking number the moment it goes out.

Shipping within the United States is a flat $9.00 per order, no matter how many pieces are in it. Once your cart reaches $80.00, shipping is on us. We also ship to Canada through the same checkout; delivery there takes longer. You'll see the exact shipping line before you pay.

Standard turnaround is whatever the product page says for that piece. For expected USPS delivery before Christmas in the lower 48, order a personalized piece by December 1 and approve your proof by December 2, or a fixed design with no proof by December 2. If you need a piece sooner, rush production is available for an extra charge, and a rush order ships by express shipping, which also costs extra. Reach out with your date before you order; we quote both before you pay. We don't guarantee rush turnaround during peak seasons (holidays, wedding season).

We wrap each sign in kraft paper and pack it in a sturdy padded box to prevent damage. We want it to arrive looking as good as it left our studio.

Most of our pieces are Baltic birch: void-free, cabinet-grade plies that hold fine detail and stay flat over time. Left natural it is light with a warm tone; a walnut-tone stain takes the same board darker and richer. A few pieces use other wood: the cutting board is bamboo, and the rolling pin and the name puzzle are solid wood. The finish changes by piece too. Most signs get a matte oil, and the drop board and the closet dividers get a satin lacquer. Each product page lists its own wood and finish.

They're lighter than they look, but not featherweight. A typical wall sign weighs 1 to 2 pounds, so standard picture hangers work fine. Dimensions and weight are listed on each product page.

Yes. We make signs for baby arrivals, weddings, anniversaries, housewarmings, and a lot of other milestones. A personalized wood sign says "I knew you well enough to make something just for you."

Yes. Enter their address as the shipping address at checkout. The box ships with no pricing inside. If you add a gift note on the product page or at checkout, we put it in the box.

We wrap each order carefully, but we don't include printed cards or gift wrapping. Add a gift message at checkout and we'll pass it along with the order, or arrange your own wrapping before gifting.

Every piece is covered by our 30-day make-it-right guarantee. If it arrives damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we'll remake it free or refund you in full. You never pay return shipping. Personalized items are custom-made, so we don't accept returns for a change of mind, but if something feels off, let's talk before we ship.

Yes: the 30-day make-it-right guarantee above covers damage, defects, and anything that is not what you ordered. After that, wood is still a natural material, and extreme humidity or direct sunlight can affect it over years. We're happy to talk through care if you have questions.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Cash App Pay, and Amazon Pay. Klarna is available if you'd rather split the cost. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Yes. We use Stripe for all payment processing, so your card information is encrypted and secure. We never see or store your full card number.

Your shipping address, yes. Create an account and we'll save it along with your order history, so the next checkout is shorter. Payment is handled by Stripe every time. We don't keep a card on file.
